Summary:

Anything You Want is a fun ride full of nice feel-good stories but won’t leave you with any “aha” moments, and that’s ok. This book is a swift hour read, so I would say it is well worth it to read (or listen on audio) for the time and cost investment. In this book Derek tells his story of creating CDbady (an online CD service) which he grew to be a 22 million dollar company. Through the book he shares the principals used to expand his business.

Key Take Away:

Derek saw success with his business by focusing on the customer and their experience. Every decision was based on asking, “will this improve the experience for my customer?”. I think it is essential to remember that a fantastic customer experience will matter more than anything else at the end of the day and not get lost in all metrics.
